This project uses an innovative graphics-based model based on affordable Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality (VR/AR/MR) to enhance communication skills in engineering education (EE). Despite the clear identification of the importance of communication skills in engineering and efforts by educators to address this, the lack of communication and collaboration skills has continued to plague engineering education (EE) for decades. This project is an effort in this direction, endeavoring to address this documented lack of innovative and stimulating pedagogical practices to strengthen communication and interpersonal skills in engineering education through the use of affordable, interactive virtual design modules.
