VR for Communication in Engineering Education
VR-based interactive exercises are used to promote
communication in engineering
courses. Students interact with the modules and
collaborate with each other, thus
promoting communication.

Single User Interaction

Multiuser Collaboration

Communication in Engineering Education
Communication skills are inevitable for engineering students to not only perform
their roles effectively in teams but also to actively
engage in the design process
skills like teamwork and leadership are in fact
dependent on communication
and interpersonal skills.

Communication: Users Interacting & Collaborating
To Assemble Planetary Gear
Two teams of Users (or works for 2 users as well)
- User 1 will identify components of the planetary gear based on description by User 2
- User 2 will describe the component and provide details of the form and function of the components
- User 1 will identify each component and move it to the correct ID tag (from the left to the right shelf)
- Upon completion of the tasks, the scoreboard will update to indicate the progress of the user

Communication:Users Interacting & Collaborating
